Dairy Queen does not have an official secret menu, but because every Blizzard is made to order, you can ask for almost any combination of mix-ins, sauces and toppings your store has. Here are popular fan-made DQ orders and how to ask for them.
How DQ secret menu orders work
- Order by ingredients, not by nickname: staff will not know names like “Cookie Monster Blizzard”.
- Start with a base Blizzard and add mix-ins. Each extra mix-in usually costs 50 cents to a dollar.
- What you can get depends on what your store stocks, including current Blizzard of the Month ingredients.
Popular custom Blizzards
| Name fans use | How to order it |
|---|---|
| Cookie Monster | OREO Blizzard with cookie dough and chocolate chunks |
| Brownie Batter | Brownie Blizzard with cookie dough and fudge |
| Turtle Blizzard | Pecans, caramel and hot fudge (or the Turtle Pecan Cluster with extra fudge) |
| Banana Split Blizzard | Banana, strawberry, pineapple and hot fudge |
| Peanut Butter Cookie Dough | Reese’s Blizzard with cookie dough and peanut butter topping |
| Mint Brownie | Mint OREO Blizzard with brownie pieces |
| Cheesecake Blizzard | Cheesecake pieces with strawberry or graham crust |
Availability depends on what your store has; prices start from the base Blizzard price plus add-ons.
Other DQ hacks
- Dipped cone flavors: besides chocolate, some stores offer cherry or butterscotch dip on a dipped cone.
- Malt it: ask for any shake as a malt for about 30 cents more.
- Misty Freeze: a Misty Slush blended with soft serve; some stores make it as a float.
- Blizzard Cake any flavor: many stores can make a Blizzard Cake with your favorite flavor if you order ahead.
- Gravy for fries: ask for country gravy as a dip for fries or cheese curds.
Order kindly
Custom orders take extra time, so avoid very complicated orders during rush hour and be ready to pay for each add-on. If your store does not have an ingredient, the closest standard flavor on the Blizzard menu is usually a good stand-in.
